Kendall Holbrook Nominated To Fairfax County’s IT Policy Advisory Committee

Dev Technology’s CEO, Kendall Holbrook, has been nominated to represent the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the business community on Fairfax County’s Information Technology Policy Advisory Committee (ITPAC). ITPAC is a long-standing advisory committee for the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors that helps the County government keep pace with appropriate emerging trends in information technology (IT). This helps the Board support County goals and priorities; provide citizens, businesses, and employees with open government and access to services and information; and promote government innovation and improve government effectiveness and efficiency.

ITPAC provides the Board of Supervisors, the Chief Technology Officer, and staff with citizen advice on information technology trends, strategies, opportunities, and risks based on the expertise of its members and the work of the committee. It is currently composed of 15 private citizens with experience in IT who have been nominated by members of the Board of Supervisors, the Fairfax County School Board, the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the Fairfax County Federation of City Associations, the League of Women Voters of Fairfax, and the Northern Virginia Technology Council.

“I’m honored to have been nominated by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and excited to join ITPAC and be of service to Fairfax County and the local business community,” stated Holbrook. “I am hopeful that my experiences as an IT leader provide valuable insight and help further innovation within the County.”

Holbrook was appointed CEO of Dev Technology on January 1, 2018. Prior to taking on the role of CEO, she was the Vice President of Business Development for the company for 8 years. Holbrook also serves as the Advisory Board Chair for After School All-Stars D.C. a local non-profit organization supporting inner city middle school students. In her 24-year career, she has supported a variety of roles and has honed her skills by working hands-on with Government stakeholders to identify IT solutions that help meet their mission requirements.

Holbrook combines sharp business acumen with practical knowledge to build trust-based relationships with colleagues and clients alike. She is an active mentor to women inside her organization and within the Government IT community with a specific focus on mentoring women. She also serves as a mentor to high school students through multiple programs in Fairfax County, Va. Prior to joining Dev Technology, she served in multiple roles a HP Enterprise Services (formerly EDS), including Sales Executive, Project Manager, Business Manager and Systems Engineer. Additionally, Holbrook has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. She has owned a children’s bookstore, partnered with her teenage daughter on a skincare business, and a volunteered as a lacrosse coach for middle school girls.

Holbrook holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University of Virginia, and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
