Through Dev Gives Back, our company-wide community volunteer engagement program, employees come together to support local nonprofits, volunteer their time, provide charitable contributions, and strengthen the communities we serve. From mentoring students and supporting families in need, addressing food insecurity, honoring veterans, and partnering with organizations that create lasting impact, our employees embody our Community core value.

Supporting Future Leaders Through After-School All-Stars Washington, D.C.

After-School All-Stars Washington, D.C. (ASAS D.C.), is a nonprofit organization that provides free, comprehensive after-school programming that helps students stay safe, build confidence, explore new opportunities, and succeed in school and life.

ASAS D.C. provides a range of programs for students including academic support, STEM learning, visual and performing arts, health and wellness, and career development serving over 500 students across six sites in Washington, D.C.

Dev Technology supports ASAS D.C. through a combination of financial contributions, sponsorships, volunteer engagement, employee fundraising, board leadership, and community advocacy. One of the highlights of our partnership has been participation in ASAS D.C.’s annual Play with a Purpose fundraiser event where Dev employees come together for an evening of games, teamwork, and friendly competition alongside local companies and ASAS students.

This longstanding partnership reflects our belief that creating opportunities for young people today helps build stronger communities tomorrow.

Supporting Families and Strengthening Communities with Northern Virginia Family Services (NVFS)

For over 100 years, Northern Virginia Family Services (NVFS) has been providing resources and services that help strengthen families and build brighter futures throughout the Northern Virginia region.

NVFS supports families in the region with a range of services including child, youth, and family services, mental health and trauma recovery, housing, food, and urgent support, workforce development, immigration legal services, and community health services.

Over the years, Dev employees have supported NVFS through community events, fundraising efforts, volunteer projects, school supply drives, and holiday giving initiatives. Our teams have volunteered at NVFS programs and facilities, including volunteering at the Clock Tower Thrift Store, hosting activities for children in NVFS Head Start programs, and contributing supplies to NVFS’s Back2School Drive.

Our commitment extends beyond volunteerism. Dev Technology’s CEO Kendall Holbrook serves on the board of NVFS, helping advance the organization’s mission and impact across Northern Virginia.

Supporting Local Families on the Path to Stability with Homestretch

Homestretch is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire hope and empower parents and children experiencing homelessness in Northern Virginia to achieve self-sufficiency and lasting stability.

Homestretch provides support to families through a client-centered approach to families transitioning out of homelessness to long-term stability through a number of services from housing and food assistance, financial literacy, employment services, mental health services, legal service, and child services through their Kidstretch program.

Employees have participated in Homestretch events, supported the organization’s annual Benefit Breakfast, and volunteered at their Kidstretch preschool hosting seasonal activities for children, provided meals and support to families, and contributed donations through companywide giving campaigns. During the holidays, Dev has also adopted families, helping to provide gifts and essential items to make the season brighter.

Dev Technology is honored to support Homestretch’s work helping families access the services and resources they need to achieve housing stability, financial independence, and new opportunities for success.

Supporting Our Neighbors Through Partnership with Cornerstones

Cornerstones promotes stability, empowerment and hope through support, advocacy and community-building for individuals and families in need. The organization envisions a just, connected community where all individuals and families have the opportunities and support, they need to thrive.

Cornerstones helps individuals and families through hard economic times through advocacy and support services including housing, childcare and youth services, food or financial and urgent assistance, community and family strengthening in addition to partnering with local community centers to offer programs and services.

Through volunteer service, charitable giving, and employee-led community engagement, we support Cornerstones’ mission. Dev team members served various volunteer opportunities with Cornerstones including volunteering at the Cornerstones Food Hub, assembling emergency kits for individuals facing food insecurity, and prepared meals for residents at the Embry Rucker Community Shelter. Through our annual Holiday Giving campaigns, we’ve supported Cornerstones families with gifts and essentials during the holiday season, helping them feel cared for when community matters most.

Every volunteer event, donation, and act of kindness help strengthen our communities.
