2016 Igniting Innovation Awards
In 2016, Dev Technology and the Customs and Border Protection Team was selected to participate in the Igniting Innovation Showcase to demonstrate the Federated Person Query. During the showcase, attendees voted for their favorite innovations and selected the Federated Person Query as a Top Eight Finalist.
DHS Small Business Award
DHS recognized Dev Technology for providing support services for CBP in developing and deploying the Federated Person Query. This application consolidates biometric (e.g. fingerprints) and biographic (e.g. name) search results and reduces the amount of time agents spend searching in multiple systems.
2014 Igniting Innovation Awards
The Dev Technology and Customs and Border Protection team was selected to participate in the Igniting Innovation Showcase to demonstrate the Iris Pilot, which implemented the use of iris matching for large scale identification for the first time at DHS. Showcase attendees voted for the Iris Pilot project as one of the Top 8 innovations of the day, and event judges selected the Iris Pilot as a Dynamite Award Winner in the area of High Risk, High Reward.
