Dev Technology names trusted team members—Kendall Holbrook as CEO, John Mutarelli as President and CFO, and Ryan Madden as COO—to lead the company through its next phase of growth.
Dev Technology Group, Inc. has announced changes to its leadership team, which will become effective on January 1, 2018. Susie Sylvester, Co-founder of Dev Technology, has decided to step down as CEO, with Kendall Holbrook taking her place. Dev Technology has also added the position of President and CFO, and promoted John Mutarelli to that role, with Ryan Madden taking over as COO. Susie Sylvester will remain actively involved in the company in the role of Executive Chair.
These changes were designed to proactively position the company for future growth by putting in place a team that is prepared to lead a large business as Dev Technology continues to grow. Dev Technology has grown over 300% in the past three years, and this new structure will put a focus on corporate infrastructure which enables an increased ability to scale.
“We designed Dev Technology’s leadership team to maintain our values, culture, and reputation for delivery,” stated Susie Sylvester. “Kendall, John, and Ryan are trusted team members who understand and care about the Dev Technology culture and philosophy. This new team will best utilize the strengths of each leader.”
Kendall Holbrook has been part of the Dev Technology team for eight years as Vice President. During that time, she was instrumental in helping to grow the company through her role in business development. Susie Sylvester expressed her confidence in Kendall Holbrook as the new leader of Dev Technology, “Kendall is the rare person that understands and has experience in all of the aspects it takes to run a business such as Dev Technology. She also values our culture and has been a big part of cultivating that culture over the past 8 years. These factors make her perfect for the role of CEO and perfect for Dev Technology.”
John Mutarelli has been part of the Dev Technology team for 15 years, holding multiple delivery and growth-focused roles including his most recent role as COO and now President and CFO. “John has the rare talent of being a strategic visionary with the unique ability to implement his ideas with all of the details,” stated Susie Sylvester. “This has been the foundation of our success which John will now get to combine with his background in finance in order to help us drive forward.”
Ryan Madden has been part of the Dev Technology team for nine years, beginning in a Director of Operations role before being promoted to Vice President, where he led Dev Technology’s Application Services Division. “During his nine years with Dev Technology, Ryan has established a reputation for excellence and delivery with our clients,” stated Susie Sylvester. “The role of COO will enable him to share best practices across the organization, create synergies, and foster innovation to allow us to continue to deliver the best possible quality to our clients.”
Susie Sylvester has led Dev Technology since she and Sanjeev Duggal founded the company in 1998. She will remain actively involved in the company on a day to day basis in her new role as Executive Chair. She will focus her efforts on internal initiatives, setting goals and objectives for the company, and working directly with employees to support their career growth. “This new role will allow me to focus on the areas that are both my strength and my passion,” stated Susie Sylvester. “This change allows me to do what I love, which is to support all of the Dev Technology team members and the organization in areas we will need while we continue to grow. I look forward to watching Dev Technology thrive under the leadership of Kendall, John, Ryan and the rest of our leadership team.”
