Windows Systems Administrator

Clearance: DHS Public Trust or ability to obtain

Location: Stennis Space Center, MS

Dev Technology Group is seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment supporting a DHS agency. This position will support services and systems that schedule mission critical deployments of law enforcement officers to protect the Nation’s Transportation System. Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor, update, and configure MS Windows Server 2008 and 2012 based systems in a complex technical environment
  • Support and configure Microsoft IIS hosted web applications
  • Leverage SCOM and SCCM to deploy, maintain, and monitor Windows systems
  • Knowledge and experience in advanced maintenance techniques and failover plans
  • Proven experience implementing hardware, firmware and software upgrades into a complex
  • 24/7, multi-site, complex mission critical operational environment
  • Provide onsite assistance for hardware related issues
  • A firm understanding of DHS, NIST, DISA and other government and industry accepted information security technology, policy, guidance, and directives, including encryption and certificate exchange and revocation
  • Work independently to support a multi locational team

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience of combined development, implementation and maintenance of Intel based hardware and Windows operating systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good technical skills, and the ability to quickly become proficient with new software systems
  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field preferred

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience managing and maintaining a Hyper-V infrastructure
  • Federal government contracting experience
