SharePoint Administrator

Clearance: Public Trust or ability to obtain

Location: Washington, D.C.

Dev Technology is recruiting for a SharePoint Administrator with direct, hands-on experience supporting SharePoint farm environments, preferably versions 2010 and 2013. This resource will provide SharePoint platform support for our federal government customer. This will include supporting an upgrade from SharePoint 2010 to 2013, and likely to 2016.  The selected candidate will also be responsible for the following:

  • Support the maintenance of all internal SharePoint production and test environments, which include web front ends, application servers, and databases
  • Support installation and maintenance of all SharePoint development environments
  • Troubleshoot issues to root cause and complete and/or coordinate fixes
  • Coordinate with technical staff (DBA, Systems Engineers, Developers) to troubleshoot issues, facilitate problem resolution and to support SharePoint upgrades and system enhancements
  • Support management of deployment of content, code, and configuration changes through development, test, and UAT environments

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience maintaining or supporting a SharePoint platform or equivalent combination of education and experience. BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of SharePoint 2010/2013 technical environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn new skills
  • Ability to support the performance of site administration
  • Must be able to support the collaborative environment and provide overall support of the SharePoint site
  • Familiarity with the administration and configuration options available within SharePoint sites and sub sites in performing support
  • Experience working in the government sector (preferred)
