Project Manager

Clearance: DHS Public Trust or ability to obtain

Location: Washington, D.C.

Dev Technology Group is recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage an agile software development project for our federal government customer. As project manager, this individual will be responsible for establishing client relationships, setting the vision and direction for the team, establishing a project schedule and processes, financial performance, and ensuring quality delivery of project on-time and within budget. The project includes the development and maintenance of three applications, including a .NET application, a reporting system, and an iOS mobile app. The best candidates will demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude, enjoy working in a team environment, and understand how to establish trust with the client, while motivating the team members.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT environment, preferably supporting the federal government
  • 3+ years of experience in a Project Manager (or equivalent) role in a software development environment
  • Direct experience managing projects using an agile methodology
  • Experience with web-based applications and/or mobile applications
  • Demonstrated experience with client communications (both written and oral), project scheduling, development and review of contract deliverables, contract management, and leading a team of technical resources.
  • Must be willing to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a positive attitude.

Education/Certifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • PMP preferred
  • Agile certification preferred (e.g. PMI-ACP, ICAgile, SAFe Agilist)
